Austmed Pty Limited was formed in 1995 by Julie Hopkins, following nine years of Surgical Sales experience,
the last six years as Ophthalmic Sales manager for Smith & Nephew Pty Limited.

Austmed are distributors for several Ophthalmic Companies and also offer product support services such as: In-servicing (product training), instrument repairs and equipment servicing.

Austmed displays their products at various Australian Ophthalmic Conferences throughout the year.
